Videos of the Day – week of 1/1/18

Happy New Year!

1/1 – Superorganism is a self-described “sprawling, multi-limbed collection of international musicians & pop culture junkies.  They number 8 in total – 7 of whom now live together in a house/DIY studio/band HQ in East London.”  Here’s the new video from their debut album out 3/2 on Domino Records…

1/2 – Joey Dosik spent much of 2017 on tour with Vulfpeck & Lake Street Dive, and as a big NBA fan, he’s performed for NBA crowds at Madison Square Garden, Staples Center, and other iconic arenas around the nation, singing both the National Anthem and performing during halftime. His Game Winner EP (out 2/23 on Secretly Canadian) is “loosely inspired by the language and lore of basketball.”  Here’s the title track…

1/3 – in honor of John Paul Jones’ birthday, here’s a cool updated version of a Led Zep classic…

1/4 – Jonathan Wilson had a busy 2017, producing Father John Misty’s grammy nominated Pure Comedy and touring arenas around the globe as a guitarist and vocalist for Pink Floyd legend Roger Waters.  His album Rare Birds (out 3/2 on Bella Union)  features backing vocals from Lana Del Rey, Josh Tillman, and fellow Roger Waters bandmates Lucius.

1/5 – Portland, OR’s Typhoon releases a new album next Friday.  You’ve still got a couple more days to get this song on our Free Download page!
