Videos of the Day – week of 1/6/20

Happy New Year!

1/6 – for our 1st video of 2020, we’re actually looking back at 2019 for one of Jeff’s Top 5 Favorite Albums of the year.  Johnathan Rice saw his 13-year relationship with Jenny Lewis end, but took on both sides of the breakup equation with The Long Game.  If you’re wondering who his co-star in this video is, it’s 69-year-old viral sensation and “Instagram’s favorite yelling angel” (Paper) Lili Hayes.  Rice has become a bit of an Instagram star himself, with regular hilarious haikus that he eventually collected into a book.

Kendall & Jeff will recap their Top 25 (or so) favorite songs of 2019 with a special edition of the big 2-hour show tomorrow (1/7) at 10pm.

1/7 – ICYMI over the weekend, there was a charity gala the night before the Golden Globes where the surviving members of Nirvana were joined on stage by Beck & St. Vincent.  It was a benefit for The Art of Elysium organization.

1/8 – Caroline Rose has a new album Superstar out March 6th!  Here’s the humorous new video…

1/9 – ICYMI: Nataniel Rateliff was on The Tonight Show last night, playing the song we played earlier in the day on the News at Noon, from his upcoming solo album out 2/14!

1/10 – Grouplove is baaaack!
