This Just In

Videos of the Day – week of 4/28

4/28 – I want to dislike The Pains of Being Pure At Heart just based on band name alone, but they’ve really refined their sound to great effect on the 2 tracks I’ve heard from their new album, Days of Abandon, due out 5/13, including the GIF-inspired “Simple and Sure”

4/29 – a glut of new releases hitting stores today, from Damon Albarn to Old 97s, Wye Oak, Pixies, Chad VanGaalen and Ray LaMontagne…couldn’t find any good videos to go with those though, so how about Pink Mountaintops (which is a supergroup of sorts), also just out today!

4/30 – This one came out a while ago, but I’ve just come across it.  Tough to get “Kathy Lee” out of your head!?

5/1 – Parquet Courts were on Late Night on NBC last night, with Fred Armisen helping them rock out on the brand-new song “Black & White”

5/2 – Charlottesville band We Are Star Children has a cd release party tmrw at The Southern & a fun new video for “Die Alone”
