Videos of the Day – week of 5/1/17

5/1 – Brandi Carlile is producing the new Secret Sisters album out 6/9…see above for some behind-the-scenes studio footage in their new video!

5/2 – Charlottesville/Williamsburg indie outfit Gold Connections has been getting national acclaim, thanks to a new EP/LP on Fat Possum & a close connection to Car Seat Headrest.  I spy a bit of Wburg in their new video!

5/3 – over the weekend, Eddie Vedder played a baseball-related (Hot Stove Cool Music) charity event in Boston for his buddy, Cubs President (and former Red Sox GM) Theo Epstein. Among the many covers he did was this early Talking Heads tune!  Apparently the Cubs’ World Series trophy suffered some minor damage after crowd-surfing at the end of the show!?

5/4 – big news today: Gillian Welch is coming back to Cville in July!  Also, this new video debuts today, with the news that her 2011 album, The Harrow & The Harvest will be released on vinyl for the first time on July 28.

5/5 – for Cinco De Mayo, how bout some Café Tacvba!?  Here’s more from the band on this track…
