Sara Bareilles Corner Lounge phone interview 071114

How far Sara Bareilles has come since her 1st visit to the Corner Lounge in 2007, eh?! That day (before she opened for Maroon 5 at JPJ), she brought in her portable keyboard (don’t think she even brought a manager or label person with her!) & then she did a session on the baby grand at Virginia Arts studio in 2009 with an audience of Corner VIPs before her show at UVA Springfest that year (remember Grace Potter opening as a White Stripes-esque duo??). This time, the Grammy Album of the Year nominee (for her latest, The Blessed Unrest) gave us a few minutes on the phone before the gig at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion 7/12.
