Community Corner Interview: LaToya Brackett of Phyllis M. Brackett Memorial Scholarship

LaToya Brackett, Founder of the Phyllis M. Brackett Memorial Scholarship, discusses the importance of the  annual scholarship which goes to one female African-American student at Monticello High School who is the first of her family to attend college. The scholarship is specifically to be used for the transition between high school and college, rather than college tuition. LaToya is currently spearheading a fundraiser to contribute to next year’s scholarship.
