Win Tickets for The 1975 at nTelos Wireless Pavilion!

The Manchester-bred band The 1975 has built its reputation here and overseas on the strength of its rollicking live shows as well as its self-titled 2013 debut album, which entered the UK album chart at No. 1. It has done well over half a million in sales and stream album equivalents, fueled by the success of the gold-certified single “Chocolate.” Their 2nd album, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it – just came out February 26 & they have recently appeared on Saturday Night Live. Their sound is unashamedly glamorous, the lyrics heart-on-sleeve, spill-your-guts confessional, their music brazenly diverse. And now’s your chance to see The 1975 live at nTelos Wireless Pavilion on Sunday, June 12th.  Listen this week (3/7-11) for the “One Second Music Quiz” with Pat Gallagher at 8am to win tickets before you can even buy them!

Pre-sale tickets are available Thursday, March 10 from 10am–10pm

This year’s song of the summer is a ballad, not a banger. Here’s what that says about us

For the past 14 weeks and counting, the top Billboard spot has been held by a love ballad: Alex Warren's "Ordinary." As Berklee College of Music professor and forensic musicologist Joe Bennett notes, the February release is "a fair bit slower than the mean average for the Hot 100, or for a historical song of the summer."
