Bofa is the product of many musicians and friends around the UVA community ‘banding’ together to play gigs. Eventually settling into a lineup of Sam Ailsworth on guitar and vocals, Julian Brass on guitar, Sean Ealy on keys, Brendan Vachris on bass, and Jamaal Farrow on drums; Bofa has been actively playing around Charlottesville and the Commonwealth since 2017. Set lists feature a diverse range of originals and covers, with the band’s greatest inspirations being The Grateful Dead, Phish, and Stevie Wonder.


Thursday January 26th at 3pm: Illiterate Light

Illiterate Light is a versatile Virginia-based duo with a vagabond spirit and a resolute D.I.Y. work ethic. Emerging in the late 2010s, the group draws from a wide array of styles, from raw, guitar-driven indie rock and kaleidoscopic neo-psychedelia to harmony-laden folk. The duo recently signed to Thirty Tigers and releasing a new album this Friday January 27th called Sunburned.
