A recently preserved section of the Cold Harbor Civil War battlefield will open to the public on Saturday. That area of Hanover County was the scene of bloody battles between May 31st and June 3rd, 1864.

The Cold Harbor battlefield has well-preserved earthworks from both the Confederate and Union armies.
