A Charlottesville jury early Saturday found Avery Fernando Gray guilty of second degree murder. He was also found guilty of illegal use of a firearm in connection with second degree murder, the unlawful use of a firearm, and shooting at a building.
Gray was found not guilty on the charges of malicious wounding, and display of a firearm with malicious wounding. Jurors want Gray to spend 39 years in prison. Gray has been accused of fatally wounding Oscar Brown nearly a year ago near the Westhaven public housing units on Hardy Drive.
