Diverse Speakers At UVA Finals Weekend

The graduating class of the University of Virginia will hear from TV actress Sarah Drew (pictured). Drew will speak May 20th during the Valedictory Exercises on the Lawn. The 2002 UVA graduate has a recurring role on “Grey’s Anatomy”, and her first major role was on “Everwood.”

Albemarle resident and Poet Laureate Rita Dove will speak May 21st during the graduation ceremony for the College of Arts & Sciences and its grad school. Paul Mahoney, who’s the dean of the law school, will speak May 22nd to the graduating classes for UVA’s other schools. The three-day Finals Weekend attracts at least 30,000 people to the Lawn.
