After 62 years, Meadowbrook Pharmacy will shut down

(CHARLOTTESVILLE – WINA)  An independent local drug store that’s been operating since 1955 will close its doors next month.   Meadowbrook Pharmacy on Barracks Road will officially shut down May 11th.

The owner has alerted customers his lease will end soon, and CVS plans to build a larger phramacy at the intersection of Emmet Street at Barracks Road.  Meadowbrook plans to transfer its files and prescription records to the CVS that’s across Emmet Street in the Barracks Road Shiopping Center.
