Albemarle Police make arrest in apparent Berkshire Place domestic shooting

CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Albemarle County Police have made an arrest in the June 23rd shooting of a woman in Berkshire Place.  Police have arrested the man they were looking for, 26-year old Walter Lamont Banks, and have charged him with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of felony. There are no details about his arrest, but the incident around 8:30 last Friday morning in the 2400 block of Berkshire Place is believed to have been a domestic dispute. Banks was also wanted by Charlottesville on a probation violation stemming from an original felony strangulation charge.
