CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Albemarle Police have charged a 22-year old Charlottesville man with involuntary manslaughter in a May 15th crash on 29 at Greenbrier Drive that killed the driver of another car. Police say a vehicle driven by Cristian Alexandro Salinas-Perez was traveling southbound on Seminole Trail around 9 that Sunday night allegedly at an excessive speed when it struck a vehicle in the intersection at Greenbrier, killing the driver.
Salinas was arrested Friday and held without bond on multiple charges that include involuntary manslaughter, two counts of driving on a forfeited license, failure to obey a traffic light, and failure to wear a seat belt. He was also served an outstanding warrant for an Alcohol Safety Program violation.
