There’s been another inmate death at one of our region’s jails. State Police say 37-year-old Jerry Wayne Bright Jr. died Saturday afternoon at the Central Virginia Regional Jail in Orange.
Bright was arrested one week earlier on a robbery charge in Orange County. State Police say the jail staff found Bright inside his cell and investigators do not suspect foul play. Culpeper Sheriff Scott Jenkins says 39-year-old William Louis Washington Jr. was found dead November 25th inside the Culpeper County Jail. A state medical examiner recently determined a summertime death at the Central Virginia Regional Jail was an accident. 37-year-old Shawn Christopher Berry was found dead on August 9th.
