Charlottesville man dies in Sunday night Seminole Trail crash

CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – A Charlottesville man is dead in a crash Sunday night on Seminole Trail near Greenbrier Drive. Albemarle Police say 36-year old Justin Michael Tilghman of the city died in the 2-vehicle crash that happened in the southbound lanes around 9:20pm. He was the driver of one of the vehicles, and was wearing his seat belt, but he died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to UVa.

No other details are available as the crash is still under investigation.

This is the 4th fatal crash investigated by ACPD in 2022, though there are more overall that have been investigated by State Police.
