CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Star UVa and former NCAA singles tennis national champion Emma Navarro is going pro. The winner of the 2021 national championship… who advanced to the Round of 16 this past season… says she’s done with UVa after her sophomore year to turn pro. In fact, she’s making her pro debut starting today at the LTP 100K ITF Women’s Pro Circuit event through Sunday in Mount Pleasant, SC… adjacent to her hometown of Charleston.

She’s the only UVa player to have won a singles national title besides Danielle Collins… who right now is the 8th-ranked pro player in the world.
