(RICHMOND – WINA)   Three challenges to current immigration policies are in the spotlight this week at the Richmond-based 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.   One case that’s on the docket for Tuesday involves the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or “DACA” program.  During the Obama adminstration, the Secretary of Homeland Security adopted a nonenforcement policy for people who illegally entered the U.S. as children.

Another case which will be heard Tuesday involves alleged racial profiling by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which many know as “ICE”.  The last case, which deals with separating adult detainees from their U.S.-born children, is scheduled for Wednesday.

Activists are planning a late Tuesday morning rally outside the federal courthouse in downtown Richmond.
