Housing officials at the University of Virginia are not worried about having vacancies when three new off-grounds apartment complexes open up along West Main Street. Gay Perez of UVA’s Residence Life says undergrads like the current on-grounds choices on Emmet Street and Brandon Avenue. Perez says students will fill up the Lambeth Field units and the high-rise Bice House. More than 3000 new students will enroll at UVA in late August. They will populatethe Alderman and McCormick Road dorms. Humphreys (pictured) is a McCormick Road dorm that opened in 1952.
