Nelson man found murdered; Amherst man charged

(LOVINGSTON – WINA)   A Lovingston man has been murdered, and an Amherst County man has been arrested.  The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office says James Lee Spencer died from a gunshot wound at his home in the 1700 block of Grandma’s Hill Road.  Spencer’s body was discovered at around 5 a.m. Saturday.  Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 32-year-old James Paul Lincoln, who’s being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.

Lincoln is charged with Second Degree Murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.  The sheriff’s offices in Nelson and Amherst are investigating this case, along with the State Police.
