All the recent noise about possible decibel level restrictions in Scottsville has done a quick fade. Scottsville Town Councilors have rejected a noise ordinance proposal.

The idea gained traction for awhile in 2014 because of complaints about live music at the James River Brewing Company. That nightspot is under new ownership and Scottsville’s zeal for restricting restaurants and other businesses just faded away.
