NTSB, FAA Investigate Orange Plane Crash

The NTSB and the FAA are back on the scene of the Sunday plane crash in Orange County that killed a student pilot. The victim is identified as 16-year-old Ryan Lee McCall. He was a 10th grade student at Riverbend High School in Spotsylvania County.

McCall was the pilot and the only one on board the small plane that went down east of the Orange County Airport. Corinne Geller of the State Police says it happened shortly before 10 o’clock Sunday morning.

McCall was taking lessons from Skyline Aviation Services. The small aircraft was based in Springfield.
