(SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA – WINA)   One of U.S. Senator Tim Kaine’s adult children has been charged with disrupting a political event earlier this year in Minnesota.  Linwood “Woody” Kaine is accused of trying to disrupt a March rally held by supporters of President Trump.  Kaine is the younger son of the former Governor, and attended the University of Virginia after he graduated from a Richmond area high school.

The younger Kaine faces one misdemeanor count of obstructing the legal process, and misdemeanor counts of fleeing on foot and concealing his identity in public.  The 24-year-old Kaine has seven co-defendants, including two people with felonies.  A criminal complaint says Kaine and others changed into black clothing during a rally in St. Paul, Minnesota.  One protester threw a smoke bomb in the direction of the Minnesota state capitol.  Kaine was among those who ran away, and he initially resisted arrest.

During the 2010-’11 academic year, Linwood “Woody” Kaine was a UVA student and he attended orientation sessions with his father.  The younger Kaine transferred after he completed one year at UVA, and enrolled in Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.
