Former Albemarle Captain Sentenced For Online Solicitation

A long ago Albemarle County police captain will serve more than six years in state prison for proposing sex online with a minor who’s under the age of 15. 55-year-old Scott Marshall Hambrick of Alexandria has been sentenced in Rockingham County Circuit Court (pictured) for using a computer to solicit sex with a minor.

Hambrick was employed by the Albemarle Police during the 1980’s and ’90’s.
