A loaded weapon surfaced Monday at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport. A checkpoint X-ray machine discovered the .40-caliber handgun in a Bedford County man’s carry-on bag.

The weapon was loaded with 15 rounds, including one in the chamber. The gun was confiscated without affecting operations at the Roanoke facility.
