Better Money Picture For Albemarle Schools

The Albemarle School Board has a more optimistic outlook about the money it might get from state and local sources. The board has learned it might see more local money in County Executive Tom Foley’s proposed budget. State allocations could also be larger than what appears in Governor McAuliffe’s budget recommendations.

Superintendent Pam Moran (pictured) says her staff has also looked at ways to trim expenses that don’t involve instruction. The school board will approve a funding request next Thursday that will go to Foley and the county supervisors.
