Authorities plan to resume the search for Alexis Murphy. They’re moving the operation to Orange County, but they’re not saying why.
Nelson County Sheriff David Brooks says the renewed search is not connected to any other case. Brooks says the search in Orange will get underway in November, but he’s not providing any other details.
Murphy was last seen August 3rd, 2013 at a gas station in Lovingston. Her car was found three days later in Albemarle County. A Nelson jury convicted Randy Allen Taylor on charges of abducting and killing Murphy. Taylor is serving two life sentences at the Powhatan Correctional Center.
