(CHARLOTTESVILLE – WINA)   A sexual assault case that involves a grandson of a long ago Virginia governor will be considered by a Charlottesville grand jury.  A General District Court judge has certified rape and forcible sodomy charges against 20-year-old Stephen Dalton Baril, who’s a former University of Virginia student.

Baril is accused of sexually assaulting another student in early February, after the pair met at a nightspot in the UVA Corner business.  The defendant is a grandson of the late John Dalton, who served as Governor from 1978 to 1082, and long ago State Senator Edwina Dalton.
