The Cavalier Women Fall to NC State 72-61

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA-WINA, – The Virginia Women’s Basketball team started fast and even held a lead on #3 NC State by one at the half, however the Wolfpack Women showed why they are a top 5 program with a dominant second half performance.  The Wolfpack outscored Virginia 23-8 in the third quarter and took control of the game leading by as much as 20 points.   The Wolfpack were led by Mimi Collins with 25 points and River Baldwin who had a double double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.  For the Cavaliers, they were led by Cameryn Taylor and Kymora Johnson who both scored 14 points in the game.  Here are the postgame comments from Head Coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton:
