(LOUISA – WINA)   Authorities have shed more light on Monday afternoon’s non-fatal shooting of a woman in the Mineral area of Louisa County.  State Police Sergeant Steve Vick says 42-year-old Misty Dawn Shutts Norwood is accused of shooting at a Louisa deputy sheriff who came to her home on Fredericks Hall Road.  The deputy was responding to a call about a domestic dispute.

Vick says Norwood ignored commands to drop her weapon, and fired shots at the deputy and a state trooper.  The two law enforcement representatives returned fire and Norwood was wounded.  She’s still recuperating at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond.
