CPD seeks suspect in shots fired Thursday morning at 12th NW and Rosser

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – 49-year-old Kenyatta Rashad Anthony of Charlottesville is wanted in connection to shots fired Thursday morning in the area of 12 St. NW and Rosser Ave. and is still at large, according to Charlottesville Police.

Charlottesville Police responded to a report of shots fired around 9:03 a.m. on Thursday near that intersection, and upon arrival found evidence that at least one round had been discharged there.

No injuries or property damage were reported.

Following an investigation, officers identified a suspect and recovered an AR-15-style semiautomatic rifle believed to be connected to the incident.

Anthony is now wanted on charges of attempted malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a violent convicted felon.

CPD has released two photos of the suspect and urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-4000.
