CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Charlottesville Police Department, in conjunction with the 3A Regional Drug and Gang Taskforce, executed two search warrants related to narcotics and illegal firearm possession in the 700 block of Prospect Ave in the Greenstone on 5th neighborhood on Thursday.
Officers seized approximately $3,000 in cash, a revolver, and approximately 120 grams of methamphetamine.
Marcus Laman Turner, a 41-year-old resident of Albemarle County, was taken into custody without incident at the scene and charged with possession of schedule I/II substance w/ intent to sell, possession of a firearm by non-violent felon, and possession of firearm while possessing schedule I/II substance.
Turner remains in custody in the Albemarle/Charlottesville Regional Jail.
