Delayed openings one day this coming week at Virginia DMVs

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – This coming week at a DMV location near you, a delay opening either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. The Charlottesville DMV will delay opening Wednesday at 1pm as employees in the morning undergo enhanced safety training. DMV’s Jillian Cowherd says the training will involve how everyone can stay safe in the event of snow or severe storms. But in addition, employees will be trained to recognize signs that individuals might be victims in human trafficking.

Online transactions will not be affected and those who have vehicle-specific transactions are encouraged to visit a DMV Select. Click here to find a DMV Select location.

While Charlottesville’s delayed opening is Wednesday, Waynesboro and Harrisonburg’s delayed openings are Tuesday, and Staunton and Culpeper’s is Thursday.
