Douglass Wins 200-meter Breaststroke Final to Compete in Her Second Event at Paris 2024


Indianapolis, Indiana (CVILLE RIGHT NOW)  : One night after winning the 100-meter freestyle final at the US Olympic Trials in Lucas Oil Stadium, earning a chance to compete as an individual in Paris, Cavalier swim star Kate Douglass won her second final of the trials in the 200-meter breaststroke final with a time of 2:19.46.  

She beat three other UVA swimmers in the final, Alex Walsh in 3rd (2:22:38), Ella Nelson in 4th (2:23:95), and Anna Keating in 6th (2:21:93).  

Hoos swimmers throughout the various fields of competition remain in action at Lucas Oil stadium throughout the weekend, and tonight’s action can be watched on NBC and their streaming service, Peacock, at 8pm EST.
