Fatal Crimora shooting under investigation

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A man was fatally shot early Tuesday morning in the Crimora area, according to an Augusta County Sheriff’s Office announcement.

Deputies responded to a 911 call approximately 1:08 a.m. reporting an individual had been shot at a location on Crimora Station Ln. Upon arrival, they located one adult male who was deceased.

“At this time, there is no known threat to the community,” Sheriff Donald Smith said in a statement.

The sheriff’s release said the investigation was ongoing and that further information will be provided as it becomes available.
