STANARDSVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW/THE DAILY PROGRESS/GREENE COUNTY RECORD) – It’s not the Downtown Mall, but The Daily Progress/Greene County Record reports some stakeholders looking to build a new ice arena in the area. Reporter Heather Price Ives writes of a special use permit application documents submitted to the Greene County Planning Commission of for a 200-seat, 32-thousand square-foot ice rink to be constructed in Ruckersville near the Food Lion. The group Ice Park Holdings shares an address with a Charlottesville investment firm, and all the details are in this Daily Progress/Greene County Record story.

Main Street Arena’s popular rink on the Downtown Mall shut down in April 2018 to make way for sale of the property which is now where the CODE Building is now.
