Janet S. Lane (1/16/1952–5/11/2024)

Janet a native of Richmond, Virginia was born on January 16, 1952 to the late Willie Arthur Lane and Virginia Lane (Allen). She graduated from Highland Springs High School and went on to become a nurse practitioner. She briefly lived in Montana where she worked at Deaconess Medical Center teaching other nursing students and ultimately adopting her daughters, Sharrah and Alisha.

She returned to Virginia in the early 1990s and worked at Stuart Circle, where she helped create and implement one of the first travel clinics in the country. She also worked with UVA healthcare systems later in life, where she made many friends who appreciated her kindness.

Janet love to crochet and read. Anyone that knew her knew that she had a never-ending supply of yarn.

She was deeply loved by her daughters.

Janet is survived by her younger brother, John A. Lane, her daughters, Alisha and Sharrah, as well as her grandchildren, Rafael, Madelyn, Benjamin, Levi and Eleanor.
