Mint Springs Valley Park closed for swimming due to algae bloom in lake

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW)- Mint Springs Valley Park in Crozet is closed for swimming until further notice due to a harmful algae bloom in the lake.  

The remainder of the park and all its amenities, hiking, fishing, and boating remain permissible during the closure.  

Chris Greene Lake Park and Walnut Creek Park remain open.
