CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority is reporting The South Fork Rivanna Reservoir boat ramp on Woodburn Road at the South Rivanna Water Treatment Plant site has reopened. The boat ramp was closed to complete preliminary field work for the design of RWSA’s new raw water intake structure and pump station at the South Fork Rivanna Reservoir. RWSA says this project is a part of the 2012 Community Water Supply Plan, and an integral component of the South Fork Rivanna Reservoir to Ragged Mountain Reservoir water line project.

The project is designed to improve the long-term reliability of our drinking water system during periods of uncertain climate conditions and drought. More project information can be found by clicking here.
