CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Trump campaign has sent a “cease and desist” order to 5th District Congressman Bob Good’s campaign to stop what they claim is using Donald Trump’s name and likeness in campaign materials. Trump attorney David Warrington’s letter says they’ve been informed the Good campaign was producing yard signs “purporting to indicate President Trump’s endorsement of your candidacy”. The letter included a photo of a red sign that had Trump’s name above Good’s on it.

Sent a couple of days after Trump on Truth Social endorsed challenger John McGuire, Warrington’s letter says “you know that is false”.
“To be clear, neither you nor your campaign are authorized to use President Trump’s name or the Campaign’s to falsely imply their support of your candidacy”.

The Good campaign contends the signs are Good’s endorsement of Trump for President, comply with law, and contain all the appropriate legal disclaimers.
