CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – While the impact from Monday’s storm was less significant than forecast had warned heading into the day, power outages did force a school system delay and left some 2,500 area residents without power as of 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Louisa County Public Schools are operating on a 2-hour delay Tuesday morning. There are no area school closings Tuesday.
Some 1,500 Louisa County Rappahannock Electric customers were without power as of 6 a.m. leading to the delay.
In Albemarle County, about 900 Dominion Energy and 100 CVEC customers were without power as of 6 a.m.
