CHASKA, MINNESOTA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) -Two members of the UVA Men’s Golf team have advanced to the second round of the U.S. Amateur Championship.

This marks the second consecutive year that at least two Cavaliers have reached the match play stage of the tournament.

Paul Chang is currently tied for third place at 7-under 135, while Ben James is tied for 12th at 4-under 138 after Monday’s play.

Unfortunately, Bryan Lee and Deven Patel did not advance out of stroke play.

The tournament can be followed on the USGA website, with live coverage available on the Golf Channel and Peacock this Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. James is a two-time All-American with the Cavaliers, and Chang reached the Round of 16 in last year’s tournament.
