Wednesday 11/7 News At Noon

  • Amigo The Devil–“Everyone Gets Left Behind” Feat. Brad Wilk–Amigo The Devil is the stage name of Danny Kiranos and Brad Wilk is from Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave. Danny calls his music murderfolk and his new record Everything Is Fine is out now. Catch Amigo The Devil in Richmond a week from today. 
  • Deerhunter–“Death In Midsummer”: The new album Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared drops on January 18th. It is about the disappearance of culture, of humanity, of nature, of logic and emotion. They call it a “science fiction album about the present” and are in DC on March 2nd. 
  • Iceage–“Balm of Gilead”: The brand new single was released to kick off the Danish band’s North American tour which started last night. They are touring in support of the new album, Beyondless

  • Parquet Courts–“We R In Control”: This 1982 Neil Young cover is an Amazon original. The band’s latest album, Wide Awake, is out now. 
  • Moving Panoramas–“Baby Blues”: The upcoming Moving Panoramas record In Two drops on February 22nd. 
  • Toro Y Moi–“Freelance”: His new LP Outer Peace is set for a January 18 release. Catch him in DC on the 12th.

  • Hamish Anderson–“Breaking Down”: The new single from his upcoming sophomore album was produced by 7-time Grammy winner Jim Scott (Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers). 
  • Mike Posner–“Song About You”: A live video for the song was just released. The track came out of the end of a relationship and an impromptu guitar riff from producer Dan Wilson. 
  • The Rassle–“Block Island”: The NYC rock band’s debut album Roll On was co-produced by John O’Mahony (The Kills, Metric), mixed by Alex Suarez (Lorde), and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Chvrches, Bleachers).

  • Steve Aoki–“Why Are We So Broken” Feat. Blink-182: Aoki and Travis Barker have been friends for 15 years and finally teamed up for a song. The collaboration is on Aoki’s new album Neon Future III which also includes collaborations with AJR and Jim Adkins (of Jimmy Eat World). 
  • Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness–“Paper Rain”: This track tells the story of “a debt stacking up so high that it seems the only way out is to play one last hand.” It’s taken from the upcoming record Upside Down Flowers, produced by Butch Walker which drops on Friday. 
  • Mike Krol–“Little Drama”: Krol’s upcoming release Power Chords drops on January 25th. He says the song was “born out of a simple challenge: to make the simplest, most primitive, rock riff progression ever.” He’s in DC on March 7th.

  • Greta Van Fleet–“You’re The One”: The band that sold out massive venues before even having a record out now have a record out! It’s called Anthem Of The Peaceful Army, and the original plan was to record songs they’d already written, but when they got into the studio they ended up writing 75% of the album right then and there. 
  • Two Feet–“Hurt People” Feat. Madison Love: From Zachary William “Bill” Dess’ debut album, A 20 Something F***. He’ll be opening for Panic! At The Disco at the John Paul Jones Arena on January 23rd. 
  • Welshly Arms–“Sanctuary”: The Cleveland band take their name from a Saturday Night Live sketch and their debut album, No Place Is Home is out now.
