The Deslondes–“Hurricane Shakedown”: Playing at the Bristol Rhythm & Roots festival in September, the Deslondes are a 5-piece band out of New Orleans and the song is taken from their sophomore record, Hurry Home. 

The Zombies–“A Rose For Emily”:The title is taken from a Faulkner story about a woman who lives with her father’s dead body. This single was originally released for Record Store Day and was featured on the popular podcast, S-Town.

Air Traffic Controller–“After Party”: This Boston band was in The Corner Lounge in January before a show at The Southern. This is the first single from their forthcoming EP, Echo Papa, in stores on the 23rd.

Nikki Lane–“Send In The Sun”: From her self-produced third album, Highway Queen. Her first two records were produced by Dan Auerbach and Dave Cobb. She will be at the Newport Folk Fest the last weekend of July.

Pickwick–“Turncoat”: From the Seattle band’s sophomore album, LoveJoy. The group started as a folk band before changing their sound and taking their name from Pickwick Records where Lou Reed worked as a songwriter in the 60’s.

Iron & Wine–“Call It Dreaming”: The video is out now and Sam Beam’s first new album in 4 years, Beast Epic, written and produced entirely by Beam, hits the shelves in August.
