Wednesday 1/30 News At noon

  • A.D.K.O.B–“Chalkline”: An acronym for A Different Kind Of Busy, the Australian band has a new EP out in April/May. 
  • Deer Tick–“Bluesboy”: Their latest album Mayonnaise drops on Friday and is a compilation album serving as a companion to last year’s Deer Tick Vol. 1 and 2. 
  • AJR–“100 Bad Days”: The Met brother’s have an upcoming album but there is no info on it available yet. 

Wednesday 1/30 Two for the Road

  • Josh Ritter–“Only Black Magic”: The new album Fever Breaks hits stores on April 26th and was produced by Jason Isbell and features The 400 Unit. It’s Ritter’s 10th album overall and he will be touring with his longtime band The Royal City Band with a stop in Cville on May 18th. 
  • Matthew Logan Vasquez–“Trailer Park”: The song is an ode to his neighborhood of Cedar Oak Mesa outside of Wimberley, Texas. The Delta Spirit frontman’s latest solo effort Light’n Up is out February 22nd and he’s in DC on May 18th. 

Thursday 1/31 News At noon

  • Interpol–“Fine Mess”: The new single is the follow-up to last year’s Marauder album. Catch them in DC on February 15th with Sunflower Bean.  
  • White Denim–“Shanalala”: The new record Side Effects drops on March 29th.. 
  • Andrew Bird–“Bloodless”: The new record My Finest Work Yet is set for a March 22nd release and there will be an extensive tour tba soon. 

Thursday 1/31 Two for the Road

  • Harriet Brown–“Shower Up, Saddle Up”: The LA songmaker’s new single from his latest effort Mall Of Fortune which drops tomorrow. Brown says the song is about not being ashamed of who he is and getting out of his own head.  
  • Cage The Elephant–“Ready To Let Go”: The newest single is taken from the upcoming record, Social Cues, which is set for an April 19th release. The album was produced by John Hill who was worked with Tune-Yards, Florence + The Machine, and Portugal. The Man.  

Friday 2/1 News At noon

  • And The Kids–“Champagne Ladies: The Western Mass indie/pop/rock quartet’s 3rd full-length When This Life Is Over drops on the 22nd.  
  • Band Of Skulls–“Cool Your Battles”: The upcoming LP Love Is All You Love comes out on April 12th. 
  • Night Beats–“One Thing”: The latest album Myth Of A Man was produced by Dan Auerbach.

  • Haelos–“Kyoto”: The sophomore album Any Random Kindness is out May 10th.  Catch them in DC on April 6th
  • Lady Lamb–“Even In The Tremor:”: The stage name of Aly Spaltro, her latest album comes out on April 5th and she’s in DC May 22nd.  
  • Lucy Dacus–“La Vie En Rose”: A bilingual cover of the Edith Piaf classic from an EP of covers and originals that are themed for different holidays.

Mandolin Orange – “The Wolves”/Tides of a Teardrop (sold out show tonight in Cville)

Briston Maroney – “Under My Skin”/Carnival EP (in Cville in 2 weeks)

Tuesday 2/5 News At noon

  • Madame Gandhi–“Bad Habits”: The former drummer for MIA has also worked with Thievery Corporations, Kehlani, and Krewella, and is included on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. 
  • Robert Ellis–“When You’re Away”: The first single off of Ellis’ new album Texas Pianoman which drops next Friday. He’ll be in DC on April 4th.  
  • Ella Voss–“Temporary”: Taken from her EP Watch And Wait which is a culmination of her personal battle with Lymphoma. It was conceived during the diagnosis and treatment process. Vos is in DC on April 11th. .
