  • Rose Of The West–“Roads”: The band fronted by Gina Barrington will release their debut album on April 5th. 
  • Jocelyn & Chris Arndt–“Outta My Head”: The 22 and 23 year old siblings from upstate New York are also full-time students at Harvard University. The record The Fun in The Fight is out on the 22nd. 
  • The Dip–“Sure Don’t Miss You”: The  Seattle soul outfit are back with their sophomore LP The Dip Delivers which drops on Friday. They’re playing DC on April 16th.

  • Grayshot–“Misinformation”: Taken from the brothers duo of Aaron and Christian Ankrum’s newly released album, Surface
  • X Ambassadors–“Boom”: From the forthcoming record, title and release date are still TBD.

  • Blaenavon–“Catatonic Skinbag”: The English indie rock band formed when they were just 14 years old and their latest record is called Everything That Makes You Happy
  • Jamie N. Commons–“Won’t Let Go”: The British artist now lives in the US and has had songs on The Walking Dead, Vampire Diaries, Orange Is The New Black, and more! 
  • Yann Tiersen–“Pell”: From his 10th LP All which drops next Friday. The song was written as a lullaby for his son.

Ben Kweller – “Heart Attack Kid”/single out today, album tba (in Cville opening for Houndmouth 2/22)

Brandi Carlile & Maren Morris – “Common”/new single out today

Monday 2/11 News At noon

  • Wild Belle–“Mockingbird”: The sibling duo of Natalie and Elliot Bergman’s new record Everybody One Of A Kind is out March 22nd and the video for the song is out now. Catch them in DC on April 11th. 
  • LCD Soundsystem–“Seconds”: This Human League cover is a staple of LCD’s live shows. It is taken from the double album Electric Lady Sessions which was recorded live at the studio of the same name. 
  • Elliphant–“Total End”: Featured on the Spiderman: Into The Spiderverse soundtrack, a new record from Swedish artist Ellinor Olovsdotter is expected this year.

  • Weyes Blood–“Everyday”: Her fourth record Titanic Rising is due out April 5th. The album cover was shot in an actual bedroom submerged in water. The new single chronicles  the chaos of modern dating–short attention spans, restlessness, and the continuous crusade to find some kind of all encompassing soulmate. She’s in DC on May 31st. 
  • Iron & Wine–“Passing Afternoon” Demo version: Celebrating the 15th anniversary of Our Endless Numbered Days with the release of a newly remastered and expanded deluxe version dropping on March 22nd. It includes 8 previously unreleased demos. 
  • Twin XL–“Friends”: Taken from the new 7-track EP How To Talk To Strangers which comes out on March 1st. The band includes 2 founding members of The Summer Set and will be touring with Jukebox The Ghost and The Mowgli’s.
