Wednesday News At Noon Segment

-The Revivalists–“Wish I Knew You”: The follow-up to “Keep Goin'” from their album Men Amongst The Mountains which is out now. Check out their Corner Lounge session here.

-The Rides–“Virtual World”: The Rides are a supergroup consisting of Barry Goldberg, Stephen Stills and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. They formed in 2013 at a benefit that Stills spearheaded. Stills calls The rides the “blues band of his dreams”. Their second album, Pierced Arrow is out soon, though no release date has been announced.

-Ronnie Spector and The Ronettes–“I’d Much Rather Be With The Girls”: The original bad girl of rock and roll herself, Ronnie Spector, has a new record entitled English Heart coming out on April 8th.

-Margo Price–“Hurtin’ On The Bottle”: Her debut album Midwest Farmer’s Daughter will be released on Third Man Records later this year.
-Night Moves–“Carl Sagan”: From the Minneapolis band’s second record Pennied Days which drops on March 25th. They will also be at South by Southwest.

-Ray Goren–“Save My Soul”: Ray Goren has already toured extensively but will do a full national tour in 2016. Dates are TBA.

-Billy Gibbons & The BFGs–“Baby Please Don’t Go”: Off of Perfectomundo, the debut solo album of ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons. It’s his take on the Lightnin’ Hopkins song.

-Pvris–“My House”: Pronounced, “Paris”, the band out of Lowell, Massachusetts are currently on tour opening for Fall Out Boy and Awolnation. The deluxe edition of their debut record, White Noise, is out on April 22nd.

-The Virginmarys–“Motherless Land”: The English trio are currently on tour with Shinedown and will be performing at South By Southwest in Austin next week. Their sophomore effort, Divides, drops in May.

Monday News At Noon Segment

-Benji Hughes–“Girls Love Shoes”: The artist based out of Charlotte, North Carolina has had his music featured on TV shows such as  East Bound and Down, Beverly Hills 90121, How I Met Your Mother, and Chuck. His latest album, Songs In The Key of Animals, came out in January.

-The Kills–“Doing It To Death”: From the indie-rock duo’s fifth record, Ash and Ice, which will be released in June. They will be performing at South By Southwest, Coachella, and Shakey Knees.

-Mount Moriah–“Baby Blue”: Mount Moriah are also out of North Carolina. Their third effort, How To Dance, is out now and they are playing in DC on Friday.

Tuesday News At Noon Segment

-Rogue Wave–“California Bride”: Rogue Wave’s sixth album, Delusions of Grand Fur, their first in over three years, was entirely self-produced and drops on April 29th. They will be in DC on May 17th.

-Skating Polly–“Pretective Boy (The Hey Mr. Version)”: Skating Polly are the duo Kelli Mayo and Peyton Bighorse. They formed in 2009 when they were just 9 and 14 respectively. Now 15 and 20 their debut album, The Big Fit, is out on March 25th. The original version of the song is featured on the record but “Pretective Boy (The Hey Mr. Version)” was mixed by Dan Molad of Lucius.

-Twin Peaks–“Walk To The One You Love”: Twin Peaks formed in Chicago in 2009 when they were still high school students. Their third album, Down In Heaven, is expected in May and they will be performing at South By Southwest next week as well as in DC on May 19th.
