Wednesday 4/17 News At Noon

  • Claud–“Easy”: The solo project of Claud Mintz, who released their debut EP out of their college dorm room under the name Toast. They’re currently working on new music and will be touring with Girlpool and more. 
  • Allman Brown–“Shapes In The Sun”: Brown is a London-based artist who was born in Hong Kong where he lived until age 11. His sophomore album is called Darling It’ll Be All Right and drops on May 10th. 
  • Fitz & The Tantrums–“Don’t Ever Let ‘Em”: Fitz & co. are embarking on a co-headlining tour with Young The Giant this summer as well as with special guests Coin and Maggie Rogers. They stop in Richmond on 6/25.

Thursday 4/18 News At Noon

  • Stubbleman–“Moonstone Beach”: Stubbleman is the alter-ego of producer and composer Pascal Gabriel, who started his career in a Belgian punk band before moving to London in 1979. His debut album under this moniker, Mountains & Plains, was inspired by a road trip across the U.S. 
  • Duff McKagan–“Chip Away”: Bassist of Guns n Roses and New York Times best-selling author Duff McKagan’s solo album Tenderness drops May 31st & he will be playing DC that same night. The album is a reflection on his experiences during the 2 1/2 years on the road for GNR’s Not In This Lifetime tour.   
  • Cayucas–“Real Life”: From their upcoming album of the same name which comes out tomorrow.

Caroline Spence – “Who’s Gonna Make My Mistakes”/Mint Condition (out 5/3, back in her hometown of Cville 6/1!)

  • Anders Osborne–“Running”:Taken from his album Buddha and The Blues which comes out next Friday. 
  • Van Hunt–“Dust”: Van Hunt’s debut self-titled album came out fifteen years ago and he has now re-imagined it as Trim, The Re-imagined Van Hunt.   
  • Crooked Teeth–“Bedroom Eyes”:The So-Cal pop punk band are playing in Richmond tonight .

  • Fan Club–“Leaves”:The Austin band is made up of Daniel Schmidt, Mike Lee, and Leslie Cronkilton and their new EP is called All The Same
  • New Politics–“Comeback Kid”: This song commemorates the 10th anniversary of the band.   
  • The Bright Light Social Hour–“Open Borders”:These guys are also an Austin band!
