Wednesday 9/12 News At Noon

  • Doe Paoro–“Cage of Habits”: The brainchild of pop singer-songwriter Sonia Kreitzer, Doe Paoro’s new album Soft Power is out October 19th. It was produced by Grammy-winner Jimmy Hogarth who has worked with the likes of Paolo Nutini, Amy Winehouse, and Sia. They recorded the album live to tape. 
  • Tom Walker–“Angels”: The 26 year old UK artist’s 12 track debut album What A Time To Be Alive drops on October 19th. 
  • Doyle Bamhall II–“Everything You Need” Feat. Eric Clapton: The new record Shades hits stores October 5th and also features Tedeschi Trucks Band, Norah Jones, and more

Thursday 9/13 News At Noon

  • Basement Revolver–“Heavy Eyes”: The title track to the Ontario indie rock trio’s debut album. 
  • Interpol–“If You Really Love Nothing”: From the new record, Marauder. The video features Finn Wittrock and Kristen Stewart.
  • Jesse Jo Stark–“Wish I Was Dead”: The latest single from the LA singer/songwriter.

  • Natalie Prass – “Lost” – The Future And The Past

Friday 9/14 News At Noon

  • The 1975–“Sincerity Is Scary”: The 4th advance track from the upcoming 15-track album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships (out Nov. 30). The band just announced a UK and Ireland tour and in regards to the song Matty Healy says it’s about him “trying to denounce all of that post-modern fear of being real”. 
  • Sister Sparrow–“Ghost”: The first single from the upcoming album Gold which drops on October 12th. The song is inspired by that feeling when someone rejected you but now suddenly wants you back. The lyric video uses emojis instead of words. Catch Sister Sparrow in DC on November 29th. 
  • Smashing Pumpkins–“Silvery Sometimes (Ghost)”: Taken off of the band’s tenth album Shiny and Oh So Bright which was produced by Rick Rubin and features the band’s original lineup minus D’Arcy Wretzky.

  • Monique Angele–“Our Paradise”: From the Canadian-born, Australia-based signer/songwriter’s latest EP, Alive. THe song is inspired by the beauty of her adoptive country. 
  • Rostam–“In A River”: The first release from Grammy-winning producer and songwriter formerly of Vampire Weekend since his 2017 solo debut
  • Sweet Spirit–“Touch”: The Austin band are making their Austin City Limits debut next month. The song was mixed by David Fridmann (MGMT, Spoon, Flaming Lips).

Tuesday 9/18 News At Noon

  • The Goon Sax–“Strange Light”: The Australian indie pop trio formed in 2013 when they were still in high school. The new album is called We’re Not Talking and they are performing in DC on October 24th. 
  • Cumulus–“Sing To Me”: Cumulus is the stage name of Alex Niedzielkowski. Her sophomore record Comfort World is being released on Chris Walla’s label, Trans-Records on the 28th. 
  • Laura Jean Anderson–“Thinkin’ ‘Bout You”: The LA-based artist’s new EP Lonesome No More drops October 12th. She was born one of five kids to a Mormon family in Olympia, Washington and that is something that she says still affects her music to this day.

Actor Shia LaBeouf arrested after alleged fight during Mardi Gras in New Orleans

Actor Shia LaBeouf has been arrested after being accused of hitting two men early Tuesday morning during Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans, police said. LaBeouf was charged with two counts of simple battery, New Orleans police said in a statement.
