  • Spoon–“Do I Have To Talk You Into It”: The video for this song was directed by Brook Linder who made Beck & Nine Inch Nails recent videos and is set in the world of  a youtube photoshop tutorial.
  • Courtney Barnett & Kurt Vile–“Continental Breakfast”: The album, Lotta Sea Lice is out now. Jen Cloher is currently opening for them on tour and they will be in DC on November 7th.
  • Slothrust–“Baby One More Time”: This Britney Spears cover us off of the cover EP Show Me How You Want It which also features covers of Same Cooke, Marcy Playground, Al Green and more.

  • I The Mighty–“Chaos In Motion”: The San Francisco prog rock band formed in 2007. This tune is on their latest effort Where The Mind Wants To Go/Where You Let It Go. 
  • Fever Ray–“To The Moon And Back”: Fever Ray is the alter ego of Swedish band, The Knife’s Karin Dreijer. Her only record under that name was released in 2009 and the video for this song is out now.
  • Ezra Furman–“Love You So Bad”: The new Ezra Furman album, Transangelic Exodus which drops on February 9th. Catch them in DC on March 10th.

Monday 10/30 News At Noon

  • The Bad Signs–“Love Lock”: New record Black Magic Moments is out November 10th. It’s called that because they did a pre-session seance in the recording studio and recorded some creepy sounds. The drummer, Rob Rufus, has a memoir out now called Die Young With Me.
  • Wild Belle–“Hurricane”: The sibling duo’s new single was produced by Patrick Carney of The Black Keys. All proceeds go to the support of victims of the recent hurricanes in the Caribbean through United For Puerto Rico & All Hands–US Islands Hurricane Response.
  • Jason Morton & The Chesapeake Sons–“Before It Gets Better”: The eponymous release from the band who share a manager with Hootie & The Blowfish. The song features the same piano as on Derek & The Dominoes’ “Layla”

  • MGMT–“Little Dark Age”: The title track to their forthcoming 4th album available in early 2018. It was produced by MGMT, Patrick Wimbley (Blood Orange), and Dave Fridman (Tame Impala, Flaming Lips, Spoon).
  • Jim James–“I Just Wasn’t Made for These Times”: A Beach Boys cover from his cover album Tribute To 2 which comes out December 8th.
  • Imagine Dragons–“Whatever It Takes”: The new single off of Evolve. The band is currently on an arena tour with a stop in DC on November 5th.
